Why does RollKall need my location information during the shift?
RollKall requires a device’s location during clock in and clock out in order to confirm that the officer has arrived and is available for their shift. It also serves to ensure the officer is at the correct location for the job or if they may be too far from the job site.
Does RollKall track my location everywhere I go even when I am not working a shift?
No. RollKall only requests location information during clock in/clock out.
Is RollKall sharing my location information with any third party or using it for any nefarious purposes?
No. RollKall only requests location information in order to confirm that the officer has arrived and is available for their shift. This information is stored internally and securely with limited access, and is not shared only to the Agency hosting the job. RollKall does not use location information for any other purpose.
If I turn off my GPS or deny RollKall all location information, can I still use the app?
Yes, officers can still use the application to apply to jobs, receive payments, and see upcoming and completed jobs, but officers will not be able to clock in and work new jobs. RollKall requires location information during clock in and clock out in order to ensure that the officer has arrived at the correct location of the job.
How does RollKall know my location? What is the technology behind it?
On both iOS (iPhones) and Android (Samsung, LG, Pixel, etc) phones, RollKall relies on the phone manufacturers to report the location information. EVERY PHONE IS DIFFERENT and location information is reported on a combination of GPS, Cell Tower, and wifi information in order to determine the most accurate location available.
RollKall depends on the device to provide the most accurate location information possible and does not have the capabilities to know the location of the officer otherwise.
