What type of job should I select?

While knowing whether you want a job to recur (recurring job) or happen only one time (event) is key to deciding on which type of job to select, here are some additional factors you will want to consider.

What if I want to create a recurring job that has multiple shifts and times? 

• If there are multiple shifts and all are different times: Select the Event job type. This allows you to add multiple positions (shifts) and to enter different times for your shifts.  However, you will have to duplicate the event, as the event doesn’t have a recurring feature. 
  
  

• If there are multiple shifts and all start at the same time: Select the General Security job type. This way you can add multiple positions (shifts) to start/end at the same time. This also allows you to use the recurring setting. 

What if I have a job with several different start and end times, but doesn't recur?

• Select the Event job type so you can create a job with several start and end times for multiple positions, which do not recur. 

What if I want to create a recurring job with the same shift times?

• If there are multiple shifts and all start at the same time: Select the General Security job type. This way you can add multiple positions (shifts) to start/end at the same time. This also allows you to use the recurring setting.
