There are two main types of jobs you can create in RollKall, recurring and events (or one-time jobs). This article covers how to create a recurring job.

Note that as you save sections throughout the job creation process, the Estimates box to the right fills in with information such as position rates and jurisdiction fees. See the article on Job Estimates for more details.
Additionally, the Save Draft button just below the Estimates box allows you to create the draft of a job for future editing and posting. Once you have filled out all required fields of a job, the button changes to the Save Job button.
To create a job in RollKall, you need to perform the following procedures:
Perform Officer Fulfillment for this job
Add General Job Information
- Click Jobs in the upper nav bar.
- Click the New Job button in the top, right corner.
- Enter a Job Name that is easy for you to remember.
- Select the Client, Project, and Location for this job. If the client, project, or location are not already in the dropdowns, click New and enter information into the appropriate fields to add them to RollKall.
- Select a Job Type.
Note: Events are the only job types that cannot be recurring. - Enter a Job Description that tells the officer what you expect them to do. For example "Check in with the foreman to get your position."
- Enter the job Date and project Start and End times.
If the end time is unknown, set it for the longest time that is reasonable.
- Select Yes to indicate that the job is Recurring. If it is, select the repetition frequency and when the job ends: never, after # occurrences, or on a specific date.
- Select the Client Contact. If the client contact is not already in the dropdowns, click New and enter information into the appropriate fields to add that individual to RollKall.
Note: A Client Contact is required if this is an RKPay job. - Select the Show Client Contact to Officer checkbox if you want the officer to see that information. This is especially important to select if officers need to meet with that contact at the job site.
- Click Continue.
Add Position(s) to the job
- Enter a Position Name, for example "Traffic Enforcement."
- Select how many officers you need of this type, and enter the hourly Rate for this position.
- Enter instructions for this position; for example "Provide general traffic control at intersection of FM 1863 and Highway 46."
- Select whether a supervisor is required for this position. If so, select the supervisor's rank.
Note: This function works by rank hierarchy. That means that if you select Corporal, then this position can be filled by only a corporal or above. - Select whether this is a roving patrol position.
Note: You will be notified if the officer leaves the set radius. - Select whether a vehicle is required for this position, If so, select the checkbox(es) for all applicable vehicle types.
- Select the officer's Dress Type. If you have specific instructions regarding dress type, enter them into the field below the dropdown; for example "Bring your high vis vest."
- Enter any additional requirements for this position in the Other Requirements field.
- Click Save.
To add more positions to this job, click Add position and repeat the steps in this section.
Add Payment Details
- Select whether this job will be paid via RKPay or Other Method (you pay all officers directly yourself). The following table provides the specifics for each option.

2. Click Continue.
Perform Officer Fulfillment for this job
This is where you select which law enforcement agencies you want to limit this job to.
- Select No or Yes as appropriate. The following table provides the specifics for each option.

2. Click Save Job or Send Estimate as appropriate.
Note: If you clicked Send Estimate, then complete the Job Estimate process.
If you created this job as an event and you need to make it recurring, you will need to create it, and then duplicate the event and make the appropriate changes to it.
At this point, the job has been created in RollKall. However, officers cannot sign up for the position(s) yet. You have two options:
- Click Assign Officers to manually select which officer(s) you wish to fill the position(s).
- Click Post Job to post this position to a chosen group of officers.
